A postdoctoral associate position is available to investigate the molecular and circuit basis of sleep, an evolutionarily conserved behavior. The research in the lab employs sophisticated genetic approaches in Drosophila and mice to study the genes and circuitry underlying sleep, with a focus on understanding homeostatic and circadian regulatory mechanisms and the functions of sleep.
