**Job Description**
The Research Assistant position, based at the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, University of Oxford, involves applying cell biology, biochemistry, and virology techniques to understand how the Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) is remodeled during flavivirus infection to form morphogenesis hubs.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Extensive experience in molecular biology techniques including PCR, cloning, and site-directed mutagenesis
• Experience in protein biochemistry including protein purification, SDS-PAGE, and western blotting
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and databases (BLAST, protein structure prediction tools)
• Basic programming skills for data analysis
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work as part of a team
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biochemistry
• Molecular Biology
• Related biomedical sciences
• Strong academic performance
