The Center for Marine Science invites applications for Postdoctoral Scholars to conduct research in various science disciplines, including Marine Biology, Oceanography, Coastal Engineering, Marine Science, Applied Coastal and Ocean Sciences, Coastal and Wetland Studies, Estuarine Science, Marine Physiology and Genetics, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Biotechnology, Marine Policy and Education, Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry, Marine Geology, and Environmental Sciences. UNCW postdoctoral scholars receive valuable training and research experience, contributing to the university’s research, scholarship, and teaching missions. Primary responsibilities involve conducting research, potentially overseeing projects and personnel, managing projects, assisting in proposal and manuscript development, data acquisition, and interpreting computational results and comprehensive data analysis, often in both field and laboratory settings.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate in one of the science fields: Marine Biology, Oceanography, Coastal Engineering, Marine Science, Applied Coastal and Ocean Sciences, Coastal and Wetland Studies, Estuarine Science, Marine Physiology and Genetics, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Biotechnology, Marine Policy and Education, Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry, Marine Geology, Environmental Sciences.
(Degree must be conferred before the appointment start date, but no more than five (5) years prior to the appointment start date; exceptions may be waived in exceptional circumstances.)
