A Postdoctoral Fellow is a professional apprenticeship designed to provide recent Ph.D. recipients with an opportunity to further develop research skills or learn new research techniques, preparing them for an academic or research career. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to play a significant role in university research performance and augment graduate faculty in providing research instruction. Working under the supervision of a faculty mentor, the Fellow functions with considerable independence and is expected to publish research results during the appointment period.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong background with evidence of experimental and AI/machine learning skills, including deep learning.
• Specialization in deep learning and biometrics (e.g., face, fingerprint, iris).
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Awarded Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate (e.g., Sc.D., M.D.) within the last eight years.
• Required to provide an official transcript of highest earned degree.
• Required to submit to a criminal background check.
