**Job Description**
An exciting opportunity for a postdoctoral associate is available with Dr. Tamara Taggart in the Department of Urban-Global Public Health. This role involves building a scholarly portfolio in social-structural determinants of health, intersectionality, and community-based participatory research. The associate will work directly on a research project focused on identifying community and policy-level interventions for adolescent substance use and mental health, with an emphasis on the impact of structural racism and discrimination. There will also be an opportunity to support community-engaged research through the Rutgers Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health (RU-LGBTQ).

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong applied qualitative data analytic skills
• Advanced understanding of systems science approaches and ability to bridge quantitative and qualitative research methods
• Experience translating complex research findings to diverse audiences and stakeholders
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including manuscript and oral presentation development
• Knowledge of adolescent health, school-based interventions, and community resilience models
• Experience with research coordination in academic settings, IRB protocols, and research regulatory requirements

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Epidemiology
• Biostatistics
• Public Health
• Social and behavioral sciences (e.g., sociology, psychology), or related fields with strong emphasis on quantitative methods or applied statistics
• PhD, ScD, MD or an equivalent doctoral degree

**Experience**
Other:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience conducting community-based participatory research
