**Job Description**
A three-year PhD scholarship is offered within the Geotechnics and Geology Section at DTU Sustain. The project explores the novel idea of using fungal mycelium to bind aggregates in pavement infrastructure. The primary objective is to model, code, and field-validate a new mechanistic analysis tool for urban pavements containing fungal-bound granular layers, focusing on their response to moving, accelerating, braking, and turning wheel loads. This research is part of the LOOPER project, supported by the Danish Energy Agency.
