**Job Description**
This Research Assistant role at the University of Sydney provides essential operational support for projects and research activities within the Allied Health Professions across the Sydney Local Health District and the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The position is pivotal in coordinating projects and stakeholders, fostering effective communication, and supporting various phases of project development, working under broad supervision with Conjoint Professors of Allied Health to develop and evaluate capacity and capability initiatives.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Highly organized with strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and sound negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills to support project data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work in the office (at the University of Sydney Camperdown Campus) and travel between the hospital facilities and institutes as needed for specific project tasks and meetings.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Allied health profession
• Other related health disciplines

**Experience**
Other:
• Understanding of the NSW public health system.
• Experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with a strong ability to engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in developing and working on research projects including ethics submissions, grant/protocol writing, literature searches, using statistical analysis tools.
• Demonstrated experience in project administration and coordination, including managing multiple projects at one time.
