**Job Description**
This role involves leading a robust research portfolio within NREL’s Cybersecurity System Analysis Group (CSAG), focusing on cybersecurity research for integrated energy systems to build resiliency and reduce risk across the energy sector. The work primarily involves modeling and simulating energy systems to conduct research, with a focus on threat-to-consequence risk analysis, hardware & software security, supply chain security, and testing and evaluation. The successful candidate will drive NREL research in energy system security and advance a rapidly growing cybersecurity portfolio.

• Strong experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Experience with reverse engineering, digital forensics, control systems, hardware-in-the-loop emulation, and cybersecurity analysis.
• Expert knowledge of technical field and related disciplines, including SCADA/ICS/OT concepts.
• Expert understanding and application of project management principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
• Familiarity with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations.
• Outstanding interpersonal, conflict resolution, teaming, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel as needed up to 10%.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Relevant field (e.g., Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering)
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 9+ years (Ph.D)
• 12+ years (Masters)
• 14+ years (Bachelor)
Other:
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance at the Q/TS/SCI level (a polygraph may be required).
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.
