**Job Description**
The Postdoctoral Associate will assist the Principal Investigator in the Department of Radiology, focusing on investigating generative models and their applications to next-generation MR image reconstruction within the AMRIS Lab. Responsibilities include training deep neural networks, performing quantitative data analysis, collecting and analyzing data, and conducting literature searches. The role also involves contributing to manuscript writing, assisting with grant applications, and performing lab maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure experiments adhere to university policies, possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, and be capable of independent work in a collaborative environment, with a willingness to mentor junior lab members and an interest in applying reinforcement learning to MRI systems.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, transformers).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., pandas, NumPy, CuPy).
• Hands-on experience in training large neural networks (generative models).
• Hands-on experience in medical image reconstruction.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++.
• Proficiency in Unix-like operating systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work productively and independently in a collaborative environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide mentorship to junior members of the laboratory.
• Interest in applying reinforcement learning to MRI systems.
• Background in MRI physics (preferred).
