**Job Description**
The McGill laboratory at UAMS is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant I or II with experience in drug-induced liver injury research. The successful candidate will conduct experiments using various model systems (animal, human samples, cell culture, in vitro) and analytical techniques including PCR, western blotting, immunoassays (ELISA), HPLC with electrochemical detection, spectrophotometry, and microscopy. Responsibilities include data collection, managing small animal colonies, tracking chemical inventory, and communicating findings with the principal investigator.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently most of the time, with overall guidance from the principal investigator
• Prior experience with one or more of the following: PCR, western blotting, mouse handling, cell culture, HPLC, or spectrophotometry
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Bachelor’s degree
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 3 years (Bachelor’s Level I)
• 4 years (Bachelor’s Level II)
