**Job Description**
Working with Professor Surajit Ray, the successful candidate will contribute to projects involving the development of statistical models and deep learning frameworks for multimodal and dynamic medical imaging. The role encompasses contributing to research publications and proposals, managing complex projects, planning and conducting research, documenting outputs, enhancing research profile, presenting work at conferences, identifying funding sources, collaborating with colleagues, and potentially supervising students and undertaking administrative tasks.

• Project or subject specific skills in Model Selecting, R and Python coding, database management.
• Research creativity and cross-discipline collaborative ability.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including public presentations and ability to communicate complex data/concepts clearly and concisely.

• Appropriate workload/time/project/budget/people management skills.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Statistics (SCQF Level 10 Honours degree or PhD)
• Computer Science (SCQF Level 10 Honours degree or PhD)
• A cognate discipline (SCQF Level 10 Honours degree or PhD)

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Sufficient relevant research experience (or equivalent) appropriate to an early career researcher.
• Project or subject specific experience.
• Experience of conducting systematic reviews in relevant area.
• Experience of scientific writing.
• Proven ability to deliver quality outputs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Evidence of an emerging track record of publications in a relevant field.
Other:
• (For Grade 7): A track record of presentation and publication of research results in quality journals/conferences.
• (For Grade 7): Experience of making a leading contribution in academic activities.
• (For Grade 7): Ability to demonstrate a degree of independence as illustrated by identification of project objectives from assessment of the literature, design & analysis of experiments & drafting of papers.
• (For Grade 7): Experience in undertaking independent research.
