This permanent faculty position aims to advance the research of Dr. Fitting, a leader in Behavioral and Integrative Neuroscience. The role involves conducting independent research, training new undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral lab members, applying for funding, writing manuscripts, and presenting research at conferences. Key responsibilities include extensive project development and execution in cannabinoid and neuroHIV fields, focusing on behavioral pharmacology, in vivo calcium imaging, CNS tissue harvesting, and various cellular neuroscience techniques. The position also entails planning and implementing research projects, coordinating training, assisting with data interpretation, and managing lab operations to ensure safety and compliance.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Previous experience with animal research, behavioral pharmacology, and cellular neuroscience.
• Strong knowledge in behavioral assays (novel object recognition, T-maze, locomotor activity).
• Proficiency in Western blot analyses, stereotaxic injections, and in vivo calcium imaging.
• Competence in data science tools and statistical analyses.

Required Degree(s) in:
