**Job Description**
The Department of Living Matter Physics (LMP) at MPI-DS conducts theoretical research on the dynamics of living systems from a physical perspective. Postdoctoral researchers will engage in theoretical and computational research focusing on Nonequilibrium Statistical Physics and Active Matter.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Good communication skills
• Prior experience with nonequilibrium statistical physics
• Strong interest in active matter physics
• Ability and desire to work in an international team on inter-disciplinary research topics
• Good command of English
• German is an asset but not required

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Theoretical Physics
• Applied Mathematics
• Related disciplines

**Experience**
Other:
• PhD/DPhil degree (or comparable) from a recognized university
