The NIH-funded projects in the Li lab focus on studying molecular mechanisms of epigenetics and chromatin organization using fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe as a model organism. Planned projects utilize a combination of advanced approaches, including molecular genetics, live cell imaging, biochemistry, genomics, and structural biology, to address fundamental questions in epigenetics. This position is for a post-PhD trainee preparing for a research scientist career path.
