**Job Description**
These postdoctoral positions at the Department of Physics, Technical University of Denmark, focus on luminescence physics within the emerging field of Geophotonics. The roles involve exploring the interaction of light with natural crystalline materials to decode Earth’s surface dynamics, contributing to fundamental advances in solid-state physics, and applying luminescence-based techniques to pressing questions in Earth system science. The positions are funded by the ERC Advanced Grant LUMIN, an interdisciplinary project aiming to understand charge transport in the natural mineral feldspar to unlock new ways of measuring Earth surface processes such as weathering, erosion, and sediment transport.

• Proven track record of publishing in peer-reviewed international journals
• Excellent communication and academic writing skills in English
• Documented research experience in Confocal microscopy
• Documented research experience in Image processing
• Documented research experience in Optical bench instrumentation – set up and alignment
• Documented research experience in Scientific software development
• Documented research experience in Thermochronology and exposure dating

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Physics
• Geophysics
• Materials Science
• Computation
• Engineering
• Related discipline
