**Job Description**
The Research Training Group (RTG) RTG2670 “Beyond Amphiphilicity” at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is inviting applications for 8 PhD positions. Starting November 2025, this highly interdisciplinary program focuses on soft matter research, investigating multiple noncovalent interaction patterns beyond amphiphilicity and their role in shaping soft matter systems. The research will combine fields such as physical chemistry, spectroscopy, synthetic organic and polymeric synthesis, biophysical and bio-chemistry, theoretical chemistry, and mathematics to advance the understanding of complexity in molecular systems. The current funding period emphasizes chemical and physical transition processes like phase transitions, dissolution/solvation, catalysis, crystallization, and molecular aggregation/switching.
