The Doctoral Researcher position is based within a research group focusing on the developmental, cellular, and functional aspects of the olfactory system in amphibians and other aquatic vertebrates. The role involves investigating the olfactory system using advanced imaging, neurophysiological, and molecular biological methods, and utilizing the olfactory network as a model for studying neuronal development, synaptogenesis, degeneration, and regeneration, complemented by behavioral studies. Responsibilities also include services in research and teaching, advancing professional and didactic qualifications.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Working experience with Amphibians or other aquatic vertebrates
• Experience with fluorescence microscopy
• Experience with behavioral experiments
• Knowledge and experience in evaluating scientific data, primarily from imaging techniques
• Good written and spoken English
• Teaching experience in “Animal Physiology” and “Neurobiology” (advantageous)
• Ability to work independently
• Capacity for teamwork

• Life Sciences
• Natural Sciences
