**Job Description**
The Cologne Graduate School of Ageing Research (CGA), a joint venture of several leading institutions, offers up to 12 fully funded Ph.D. positions. This structured Ph.D. training program is set within a cutting-edge international research environment focused on ageing research, starting between July 1 and October 1, 2026. The program aims to train highly motivated and talented researchers within one of Europe’s most prestigious ageing research clusters.

• Excellent academic performance in BSc and MSc studies
• Clear interest in ageing research
• Strong motivation for ageing research
• Very good English skills (C1 level, written and spoken)

Salary
Annual Salary: Based on the German TV-L E13 scale, 65% or an equivalently remunerated PhD support contract of the Max Planck Society Position Classification: Remuneration group 13 TV-L (German public sector pay scale) Benefits: Dedicated supervision with academic guidance, comprehensive and structured PhD programme conducted entirely in English, individual career mentoring & coaching, methodology courses & soft skills workshops, conference travel grants, intensive support for international students in administrative matters.
