**Job Description**
The Centre for Quantum Technologies is seeking a Research Assistant to join the research group of Professor Marco Tomamichel. The ongoing project utilizes semiring techniques, specifically the theory of asymptotic spectra, to identify quantum or classical relative entropies and other entropic quantities relevant in tasks related to large-sample and catalytic majorization of classical or quantum statistical experiments. The ideal candidate will be familiar with real-algebraic methods and actively contribute to this project.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong mathematical background, in particular affinity with real-algebraic techniques utilized in this project
• Familiarity with real-algebraic methods
• Proved capacity of working with co-workers
• Strong communication and writing skills

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Mathematics
• (Mathematical) Physics
• Computer Science

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Academic research in a closely related field
Other:
• Experience as a teaching assistant for university-level courses
