Research Fellow

**Job Description**
This role invites applications for a Research Fellow to join the Smart Sensing Lab, led by Professor Eiman Kanjo. The position is central to the EPSRC-funded “ProSensing: Low-Power, High-Speed, Adaptable Processing-In-Sensing Capability” project, involving close collaboration with Defence and Security Stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of tinyML technologies within the lab, which maintains strong connections with the Edge AI foundation and various industrial partners.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong coding skills with background in machine learning
• Extensive experience in building Neural Network models
• Solid foundation in mathematics
• Technical proficiency in Python, C, or C++
• Familiarity with Tensorflow Lite/Micro, Pytorch
• Experience in Embedded system
• Working knowledge of Android/Flutter development (advantageous)

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Persuasive and Edge Computing or related areas (doctoral degree)

**Experience**
Other:
• Substantial experience in Persuasive and Edge Computing or related areas
• Essential expertise in embedded and sensing systems, tinyML, data science, AI, and software development
