**Job Description**
The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a Research Assistant role within the Heat Resilience & Performance Centre (HRPC) at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The HRPC is a pioneering research center focused on addressing future challenges from rising ambient heat. This role involves assisting in the development, execution, and analysis of research on heat health with translational impact, covering areas such as heat acclimatization, chronic heat exposure, and physiological biomarker sensemaking. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team of physiologists, data scientists, engineers, and researchers, gaining exposure to both outfield and in-lab research experiences to quantify heat impacts and develop solutions for working in hot environments.
**Skills & Abilities**
� Keen interest in heat health and human performance
� Proficient in data analysis tools in quantitative research
� Proven knowledge of data collection methods
� Experience in wet laboratory techniques including sample collection, processing and experimental procedures
� Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols, documentation and biospecimen handling standards
� Good written and verbal communication skills
� Resourceful and self-driven
� Adaptable and able to multitask well with clear follow-through
� High levels of attention to detail and quality
� Willingness to travel off-site and outside routine hours for data collection and undertake further training in relevant data collection procedures

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
� Biomedical Science
� Life Sciences
� Exercise Science
� Physiology
� Equivalent field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
� Two or more years of research and/or laboratory work experience (would be an advantage)
Other:
� Strong laboratory-based background with demonstrated practical laboratory-based experience
� Comfortable working with human biological samples
