**Job Description**
Seeking a motivated PhD candidate to join a collaborative research program within the VIB-Center for Inflammation Research. The project involves developing and applying algorithms to link clinical metastasis phenotypes to molecular phenotypes in mouse models. This includes using high-resolution spatial omics techniques to prioritize molecular factors driving immune cell states, which will then be validated through in vivo screening. The candidate will be embedded within interdisciplinary experimental and computational teams, fostering a unique environment for deep computational modeling connected to experimental validation.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Interest in linking digital pathology with mechanistic experimental biology
• Programming experience in Python
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
• Collaborative personality with attention for detail

Required Degree(s) in:
• Bioinformatics
• Biomedicine
• Bioengineering
• Biotechnology
• Related fields

**Experience**
Other:
• Experience in imaging or spatial omics data analysis (bonus)
