**Job Description**
This project aims to improve the assessment of hearing aid benefits in daily-life situations. The Post Doctoral Research Fellow/Associate will investigate how conversation context influences the experience of ‘successful conversation’ (e.g., feeling engaged, exchanging information) among individuals with hearing loss and hearing-aid users. Responsibilities include collating existing evidence, designing and executing qualitative interviews and self-report surveys, analyzing complex data with statistical support, and deriving an optimal set of items to form a smart self-report instrument. The project is fully funded by the Hearing Industry Research Consortium.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Experienced in a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies involving human participants.
• Experience of working in a patient or client-facing environment (desirable).
• Experience of outcome measure development (desirable).

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Psychology
• Sociology
• Anthropology
• Health Sciences
• Speech-Language Pathology
• Audiology
• Another relevant subject area
Required:
• PhD or equivalent experience (or close to completing)
