The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research, provide training to undergraduate students, present research results at conferences, and publish research in peer-reviewed journals. The primary research focus involves the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional MXenes using various state-of-the-art analytical methods. Responsibilities also include the maintenance of research instruments and collaboration with scientists for specialized measurements on MXenes.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience in experimental condensed matter physics, especially in magnetism/spintronics and optical spectroscopy.
• Experience in the synthesis of two-dimensional MXenes.
• Proficiency in handling SEM, AFM, XRD, Raman, PPMS/SQUID, and transient absorption instruments.
• Mentoring undergraduate students (preferred).
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Physics
• Materials Science
• Physical Chemistry
• Closely related field
**Experience**
Other:
• Experience in experimental condensed matter physics, especially magnetism/spintronics and optical spectroscopy.
