**Job Description**
The PhD candidate will focus on developing next-generation porous transport layers (PTLs) and microporous layers (MPLs) for Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolyzers (PEMWEs). This involves building a multi-scale computational model to capture complex transport phenomena within these porous structures and at their interfaces. The project aims to use model insights to guide manufacturing and optimization of PTL/MPL architectures, ultimately improving efficiency, durability, and reducing precious-metal requirements in green hydrogen technologies. The role combines modeling, simulation, and experimental validation in an international, multidisciplinary team.
