**Job Description**
This role involves conducting research investigations under the supervision of Prof Gareth Sanger, focusing on the mechanisms and treatment of nausea. The research will primarily involve functional studies using human gastrointestinal tissues, examining the effects of therapeutic electrical stimulation and various nauseagenic agents on human stomach functions. The successful candidate will be expected to develop innovative techniques and contribute to preparing studies for publication.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Good understanding of pharmacology.
• Experience of human tissue bath pharmacology.
• Ability to obtain written consent from patients for ‘waste’ surgical tissue prior to surgery.
• Understanding and experience in maintaining documentation under the relevant Human Tissue Act.

• Ph.D
