**Job Description**
The Rosenfeld lab at the Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, is seeking an outstanding lab-based molecular biologist with or about to receive a Ph.D. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and deploying cutting-edge next-generation sequencing assays to detect cancer earlier than traditional methods. The role involves pioneering new approaches for minimally-invasive molecular diagnostics and analysis of cancer genomes, particularly using circulating cell-free tumour DNA (ctDNA) from large collections of patient samples. The group is a dynamic mix of molecular biologists, bioinformaticians, and clinical fellows, providing a unique environment for development and learning in cancer genomics and translational research.

Required Degree(s) in:

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• Ph.D. (or about to receive)
• Experience in development and application of next-generation sequencing assays
Other:
• Experience of translational research using human samples (distinct advantage)
• Experience in the development of clinical diagnostic assays (distinct advantage)
• Experience in bioinformatic analysis of next generation sequencing data (distinct advantage)
• Experience with samples related to Melanoma and Head & Neck cancer diagnostics (preferred)
