**Job Description**
This Research Assistant position involves collaborating with Dr. Liam Healy, Dr. Eva Haifa Giraud (Sociology), and Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust (SRWT) on the ‘Prototyping Multi-species Encounters: Relating to Redmires Reservoirs’ Residents’ project, funded by EPSRC Ecological Citizens. The project aims to explore how design-research can foster inclusive more-than-human futures and build nature-connectedness among visitors to Redmires Reservoirs. The role will support the integration of design into conservation practices, develop communications and public engagement strategies, and contribute to debates on discouraging damaging actions in wild places using multi-species justice approaches. This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in design and design-research for inclusive more-than-human futures.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Demonstrate a track record of designing, making and prototyping (physical and digital) at a variety of scales and materials
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong visual communication skills with experience of graphic design and related software applications
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work with a range of publics
• Good time management
• Evidence of the ability to work with a variety of materials, digital platforms and processes

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Design
• Architecture
• Related discipline

**Experience**
Other:
• Basic knowledge of literature in science and technology studies, multi-species justice and related sub-fields
