**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position, offered as part of the Medical Inflammation and Infection Center (MIIC) International Postdoc Program, focuses on research activities within Amanda Welin’s group at the Division of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology (KKF), in collaboration with Sofia Nyström’s group. The project’s overall aim is to develop improved diagnostic and predictive tools for hematology and clinical immunology. Utilizing state-of-the-art imaging flow cytometry, the research seeks to create novel diagnostic tools to enhance diagnosis and guide therapeutic decisions in immune thrombocytopenia and inborn errors of immunity. The start date is negotiable.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Substantial experience of in vitro work with primary human immune cells.
• Expertise in multi-colour flow cytometry, including panel design, development of gating strategies, and statistical analysis.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent English language skills.
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
• High level of independence.
• Experience with imaging flow cytometry (merit).
• Previous work with isolated lymphocytes or platelets (merit).
• Experience in immunofluorescence microscopy (merit).
• GraphPad Prism proficiency (merit).
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• PhD or equivalent in immunology or a closely related field.
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 1 – 4 years (Research experience)
Other:
• Doctoral degree or equivalent obtained in a country other than Sweden.
• Doctoral degree date must be no more than four years before the application deadline (exceptions for parental or sick leave).
• Must not have been employed by Linköping University previously.
