**Job Description**
The Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-Designated Cancer Center, is seeking a Senior Staff Research Assistant. This role involves assisting research staff by collecting and analyzing data, maintaining records, conducting literature and technical research, preparing reports for potential publication, and may include supervising personnel. The position contributes to providing patients with high standards of care and access to advanced cancer treatment options.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Working knowledge of how to handle biohazard materials or chemicals following Federal, State, and University regulations and guidelines.
• Detail oriented.
• Experience with patient recruitment (preferred).
• Ability to analyze data and keep records.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to supervise research technicians or assistants.
• Manual dexterity, ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reaching, bending, and stooping.
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biological Science
• Chemistry
• Physical Science
• Related field
**Experience**
Experience Required:
• 24 months research laboratory experience
Other:
• Will accept 48 months equivalent experience in the aforementioned fields in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree, for a total of 72 months combined research assistant and/or technician experience.
