We value the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse backgrounds.The Department of Political Science invites applications for a Limited-Term (0.8 FTE) Instructor at the International College Beijing (ICB) for the Spring 2025 semester.We seek to hire a colleague who can teach political science courses in International Relations, International Governmental Organizations, and US Health Policy.Above all else, we seek a dynamic teacher committed to best practices in student-centered pedagogy and advancing intercultural historical learning to support students in developing critical thinking skills. ICB is a unique international collaboration, so the ideal candidate will teach and mentor students to see how the study of politics and international affairs builds cross-cultural understanding and enriches their lives. The university covers one roundtrip ticket to Beijing per semester. Semesters are 12 weeks long; semester start dates are based on the lunar calendar with fall semesters beginning early to mid-September, and spring semesters beginning in mid-January to early-February.In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
