CRTEC Program Coordinator-35206University StaffDescriptionUniversity of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Cancer CenterWorking Title:  CRTEC Program CoordinatorPosition #: 820965 – Requisition #35206Job Summary:This position will be a member of the Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) team within the Cancer Center Administration Office. As a program coordinator on the CRTEC team, you will be responsible for providing program coordination to the Cancer Center CRTEC team. Responsibilities include coordinating CRTEC education programs, assisting in the logistics and planning of CRTEC events, and coordinating with members of other Cancer Center teams on collaborative initiatives including the Operations, Communications, Research, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access (DEIA), Community Outreach and Engagement (COE) and Finance teams. The University of Colorado Cancer Center’s vision is to Prevent and conquer cancer.Together.This role and the CRTEC team are vital to the Center achieving its vision.Key Responsibilities:Program Coordination: (70%)All around coordination of cancer research education programs.Maintain the education programs web pages and application portals.Manage the programs’ application processes.Assist with participant recruitment.Organize and execute the competitive review process of applicants,Work with Program Directors to coordinate mentor-matching processes.In collaboration with theCU Evaluation Center, CRTEC leaders and research educationProgram Directorscreate, implement and analyze program evaluation and participant tracking surveys and compileprogram evaluation results and metrics.Coordinate with the UCCC HR office to carry out human resources processes for onboarding program participants including hiring, badging and access processes.Coordinate travel and housing for out-of-state program participants.Work with CRTEC leaders and research educationProgram Directorsto create and implement the program activities, including recruit faculty to present the workshops and lectures, recruit facilitators for the Clinical Translational Workshops and mentoring roundtables, coordinate the Explore Biotech visits in the Bioscience Park, coordinate social and networking events, coordinate peer mentoring activities.Other program coordination duties as assigned.Event and Meeting Planning (20%)Organize program events including room reservations, catering, creating program agendas, creating abstract booklets, creating and printing student certificates.Assist in development of creative materials such as PowerPoint presentations, webpages, branding, brochures, etc.Coordinate with the UCCC Communications office to disseminate programmatic events and announcements.Manage program events calendars.Other event and meeting management duties as assigned.Grant, Procurement and Finance (10%)Assist program directors and the UCCC grants team in applying for funding, managing the speed types and accounts, and submitting progress and expenditure reports to outside sponsors.Assist the UCCC grants staff to compile data for the RPPR and annual progress reports.Perform program related procurement tasks including budget and policy adherence, finance report creation and submission, vendor coordination and management,processing honorarium payments for external lecturers, andorganizing travel and lodging for program-related travel, invited faculty and others as needed.Other procurement and finance duties as assigned.Additional Duties – IntermediateIndependently manage the logistics, planning and coordination of cancer research education programs and events, including internal programs and events, conferences, meetings, and various education outreach activities.Independently develop creative materials such as PowerPoint presentations, webpages, and other forms of communication materials for the CRTEC office and specific education programs.Additional Duties – SeniorProvide consistent and efficient direct operational support to the CRTEC office leadership including the Associate Director and the Assistant Director and other education programs directors.Independently perform fiscal responsibilities related to the programs or projects being coordinatedWork Location:Remote– this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States.Why Join Us:TheUniversity of Colorado Cancer Centerstands at the forefront of cancer research and patient care in Colorado.
