**Job Description**
This position seeks a researcher with expertise in gravitational waves to conduct research on perturbative or nonperturbative waveform modelling, with applications to data analysis. The successful candidate will contribute to the objectives of the STFC Gravitational Wave Consolidated Grant “Precision Gravity With LIGO-Virgo-Karga” and/or the UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship “AI-Driven Inference for Gravitational Waves: Accelerating Discoveries in Fundamental Physics.” Responsibilities include undertaking original research of international excellence, developing research objectives and proposals, preparing papers for publication, and assisting in writing bids for research grant applications.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Expert knowledge of gravitation, including one or more of: gravitational-wave modelling, data analysis, black hole perturbations, mathematical or numerical relativity.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
• Networking, actively engaging with and valuing other areas and diverse groups.
