**Job Description**
This PhD position is a collaborative effort between Erasmus MC and Delft University of Technology, focused on enhancing donor organ utilization through the integration of cell therapy techniques with advanced organ perfusion strategies. The project aims to develop and implement a point-of-care spectroscopic sensor to monitor the impact of cell therapy during organ perfusion. This involves generating experimental data, developing data processing pipelines, and training machine learning models to identify biological states of the liver. The goal is to create a closed-loop fluidic system for automated operation and identify novel biomarkers for perfusion monitoring, combining both experimental and computational activities.
**Skills & Abilities**
