**Job Description**
This fully funded 3.5-year Ph.D. project focuses on exploring unusual mechanochemical transformations and processes using interlocked architectures, specifically catenanes and rotaxanes. The research will investigate the activation of these systems both in solution, utilizing ultrasounds, and in the solid state through mechanical stretching, to understand and explore their properties. This work has the potential to lead to the development of self-healing materials and advanced chemical systems capable of performing complex synthetic tasks.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Understanding of synthetic organic chemistry
• Understanding of polymer chemistry
• Understanding of supramolecular chemistry

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Materials Science)
