**Job Description**
This Ph.D. project focuses on developing robust solutions for energy management systems (EMS) in electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) vehicles, specifically utilizing hybrid energy storage systems (HESS) comprising lithium-ion batteries and fuel cells. The research aims to address critical gaps in current eVTOL EMS, including the limitations of rule-based and optimization-based methods, weaknesses of model-predictive control (MPC) against uncertainties, and the lack of robust state estimators, by applying advanced AI, MPC, and optimization techniques.
