This role requires prioritizing tasks, coordinating unit workflow, and assisting in the establishment of new work methods and procedures. Responsibilities include supporting motility procedures, maintaining and processing equipment, and assisting with patient care during appointments. Additional duties include scheduling clinic and procedural visits, answering phone calls, managing physician block times, maintaining statistics, ordering supplies, utilizing computer systems, and managing the referral database. The Lab Coordinator also provides customer service to staff, physicians, and patients, and offers coverage support to other procedural areas as needed. Other related duties may be assigned as required.Three (3) years of appropriate experience in a hospital and/or ambulatory setting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.Must be a flexible team player and able to manage multiple priorities to meet administrative and patient care needs at a high-volume.Proficient with computerized documentation. Familiar with MS Office, Excel, and Adobe.BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date.Previous experience involving clinical care in Dermatology.Epic registration experience.Bachelor’s Degree.Medical terminology training and/or certificate.Knowledge of or prior experience in DermatopathologyBilingual: English/Spanish.Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
