This position is for a Researcher in Underwater Technology and Robotics at Aalborg University, fixed for two years. The role involves working collaboratively on interdisciplinary research projects, engaging with industrial partners, and contributing to applied research challenges relevant to the offshore energy sector. The researcher will also contribute to research-based teaching in robotics, automation, and related engineering topics.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Documented experience in autonomous or remotely operated robotic systems (preferably in underwater or field robotics)
• Strong competencies in control theory, sensor fusion, and signal processing
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, C++)
• Proficiency in tools such as ROS
• Experience in simulation and digital twins
• Experience in the use of synthetic data for training machine learning models
• Strong publication record
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Robotics
• Mechatronics
• Control Engineering
• Related field (at PhD level)
