**Job Description**
The Temporary Research Assistant will coordinate and implement research experiments focused on monitoring nitrogen balance and nutrient losses from grain crop rotations. Key responsibilities include collecting field data, particularly measurements of nitrous oxide emissions, nitrogen leaching, and soil inorganic nitrogen. The role involves developing new methodologies and sampling protocols, identifying research needs, and overseeing undergraduate and graduate students in data collection, sample processing, and data analysis. The assistant will also be responsible for developing and implementing lab protocols, maintaining laboratory equipment, summarizing research data for reports, and presenting findings at national meetings.

• Previous experience conducting agronomic field experiments is preferred but not required.
