**Job Description**
The Park research group, situated within the College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and collaborative postdoctoral research fellow. The group utilizes both basic sciences and engineering approaches to modulate inflammatory responses following neural trauma. This NIH-funded position will focus on projects related to reprogramming neuroimmune responses after spinal cord injury. The prospective candidate will contribute to the research program, exploring technical developments in tissue engineering, biomaterials, neural engineering, gene therapy, and nanotechnology for tissue regeneration after neurotrauma, while conducting preclinical and translational research.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with rodent works, including mouse/rat handling, microsurgery (e.g., rodent spinal cord injury model), tissue harvesting, and behavioral tests
• Proficiency in biochemistry techniques, including scRNA-seq, immunohistochemistry, and Flow Cytometry
• Knowledge of Molecular Cell Biology
• Experience in neuroscience, biochemical assays, microscopy, cell culture, nanoparticle, and biomaterials research
