Master Thesis: Cross-European Adaptation Measure Evaluation

Your Job:As part of the on-going EU project – LOCALISED (https://www.localised-project.eu/), this thesis focuses on integrating regional climate adaptation measures into an existing optimization model. By assessing these measures, the project seeks to provide valuable insights that will help refine regional adaptation strategies, ensuring they are both cost-effective and aligned with local vulnerabilities. The thesis work can be broken down into the following work packages:• WP1 – Literature review on existing adaptation measures: Documenting the measures along with the costs of implementation• WP2 – Integration of measures into an existing measure optimization model• WP3 – Use the model and data to analyze the regional impact of the measures on effective adaptation to climate changeYour Profile:• Very good academic record and currently enrolled in a master’s program in natural science, computer science, engineering or a related field of study• Very good Python (or other) programming skills• Good written and spoken English skills• High interest in climate change-related topics• You are highly motivated to work on the topic and able to work independently and analytically• You have a high degree of self-organization and time management skillsOur Offer:We work on the very latest issues that impact our society and are offering you the chance to actively help in shaping the change!
