Postdoctoral Research Associate (Metabolomics and Blood Cancers) Grade 7

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to drive forward a five-year CRUK funded project developing and applying metabolomics and lipidomics experimental and computational workflows to study metabolic changes observed during blood cancer onset and progression. Primarily, the successful candidate will apply metabolomic and lipidomic workflows to study disease progression from MGUS to multiple myeloma The postdoctoral researcher will work in the group of Professor Warwick Dunn in collaboration with experts from other universities (Birmingham, Oxford, Warwick, Leeds and Iceland).You should have a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Biological Sciences, Omics science, or a related discipline and experience of applying metabolomics or lipidomics workflows in human studies.If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30.  Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.The post is full time and available until the end of August 2029.The University of Liverpool is committed to enhancing workforce diversity.
