**Job Description**
This postdoctoral position focuses on studying how supply chains can achieve resilience and meet regulatory demands through system modeling and scenario analysis. The role involves building conceptual and modeling foundations for the ReSolVe project, which aims to develop a structured approach for resilient, sustainable, and regulation-ready supply chains. Responsibilities include developing methods to measure resilience, sustainability, and regulatory readiness, designing models to predict supply chain responses to disruptions like policy shifts or climate risks, and translating regulatory requirements into decision-support models. The researcher will collaborate closely with industrial stakeholders, ensuring that the work contributes to scientific knowledge and shapes practical strategies for companies.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with system modeling or scenario analysis (e.g., system dynamics, agent-based modeling, MCDA, causal mapping)
• Understanding of or interest in regulatory environments, sustainability, or policy modeling in supply chains
• Solid programming or modeling skills in tools such as Python
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills in English
• Collaborative mindset and interest in working across disciplines
• Background in stakeholder modeling, policy analysis, or regulatory interpretation (valued)
• Familiarity with integer programming techniques (modelling and solving) (valued)
• Familiarity with ESG, circularity, or compliance standards (valued)
• Experience working in interdisciplinary or applied research settings with industry or public sector stakeholders (valued)
