Research Fellow

**Job Description**
The Research Fellow will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in a sponsored project, focusing on additive manufacturing of metallic components. The role involves conducting detailed microstructural and mechanical property studies on the printed parts.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Proficiency in unnotched fatigue, fracture toughness, and fatigue crack growth property measurements.
• Familiarity with Ti and other advanced alloys, experimental characterization of fracture and fatigue and other mechanical properties.
• Highly competent in microstructural characterization techniques such as SEM, TEM, EBSD, nanoindentation.
• Demonstrated expertise in high level research through a good scientific publication record, especially in standard journals of the research area.
• At least one or more papers in Acta Materialia as the first author.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines.
• Meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills.
• Ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Possesses international experience, with a strong network of contacts in the region.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Materials Science & Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

**Experience**
Experience Required:
• At least 2 years of relevant post-PhD hands-on experience in advanced alloys and their microstructural and mechanical property characterization.
