**Job Description**
The Abiotic Stress Laboratory at the Grape Genetics Research Unit (GGRU), part of the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service (ARS) in Geneva, New York, offers a research opportunity focused on understanding grapevine responses to environmental stressors such as cold, freezing, drought, heat, and nutrient stresses. The primary goal is to expedite research findings in fundamental plant growth and developmental processes. The selected Postdoctoral Researcher will gain advanced genetic and genomic knowledge on grapevine stress responses, contributing to the identification of grapevine tolerance to adverse growing conditions, and will foster collaborations with academic and USDA-ARS scientists, disseminating findings through publications.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Highly motivated researcher.
• Knowledge in assessing multi-omic data.
• Ability to perform comprehensive genetic and genomic analysis.
• Deep understanding of genetics, genomic analysis, and trait mapping protocols.
• Hands-on experience in QTL mapping, association studies, and genomic prediction.
• Controlled (greenhouse/glass house/growth chambers) and wet lab research experience.
• Expertise in statistical packages (SAS), R, Python, or similar programming skills.

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Plant Breeding
• Genomics related area
Other:
• Doctoral degree received within the past five years (60 months).
