**Job Description**
The Research Fellow will join Dr. Richard Meek’s group to study the role of protein machinery in brain calcification. This MRC-funded project employs a multidisciplinary approach, including mass spectrometry, microscopy, and cell-based assays (proteomics), to investigate how dysfunctional carbohydrate-processing contributes to neurological disorders. The role aims to deepen the understanding of brain signaling and disease mechanisms.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Previous experience in tissue culture.
• Previous experience in proteomics, including data collection, processing, and interpretation.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Good statistical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Experience in neurobiology and/or glycobiology (useful but not essential).

**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Biology
• Chemistry
• Related discipline (PhD or near completion)

**Experience**
