**Job Description**
This PhD project focuses on developing innovative technologies for space and launch propulsion sectors, specifically advancing Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) techniques to monitor and control hybrid propellant space propulsion systems. The research involves miniaturising high-speed electronics, developing microwave Ka-band RF transceivers, and implementing real-time computing and data analysis for control mechanisms. Additionally, the project supports European Engineering & Consultancy Ltd.’s roadmap by developing miniature microwave-based RF communication systems, addressing challenges related to crystal oscillator sensitivity to vibrations. This work aims to overcome significant barriers to optimising hybrid propellant propulsion systems and open new markets for related technologies.

**Skills & Abilities**
• Knowledge across disciplines of electronics, software development, and RF communication.
• Interest in rocketry and/or prior experience with space propulsion systems (advantageous).
