**Job Description**
The ‘Optical Quantum Metrology’ research group, part of the LightwaveLab, develops innovative measurement technology for clinical and industrial applications by stroboscopically measuring electric field oscillations in the infrared and terahertz spectral range. This Ph.D. program aims to develop novel photonic measurement techniques, based on interferometry and nonlinear optics, to enable spectroscopic measurement of the entire physiologically relevant concentration range of molecules in biological fluids and gases. Achieving these goals requires substantial further development of key femtosecond technologies, realized through cooperation with the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics as part of a renowned Max-Planck-Fraunhofer project.
