This project aims to enhance soil functions for improved soil health and water quality by managing the soil microbiome and physico-chemical properties through the application and ideation of new renewable engineered amendments. It focuses on understanding the intricate interactions between agricultural management, water quality, soil biodiversity, and the chemical and physical properties of soil, particularly within the agricultural soils of the Northern Netherlands and Northwestern Germany.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Experience with soil sampling.
• Experience with data analysis.
• Enjoyment of field work.
• Independent and motivated with an affinity for multidisciplinary and impact-driven research.
• Team player with a collaborative attitude towards stakeholders, including farmers and farmer organizations.
• Excellent English language proficiency.
• Good German language proficiency (plus).
• Driver’s license (plus).
**Qualifications**
Required Degree(s) in:
• Soil sciences
• (Soil) biology
• Agricultural sciences or equivalent
