We are seeking an outstanding postdoctoral researcher in bacteriology with strong expertise in molecular biology to join an interdisciplinary project at the crossroads of natural sciences and humanities. The project aims to decipher the molecular mechanisms that allow the plague bacillus (Yersinia pestis) to establish infection in its flea vector.
**Skills & Abilities**
• Strong experience in bacteriology and molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis
• Previous experience with insect models and host-pathogen interactions (an asset)
• Experience in genetic manipulation of bacteria, infection models, and molecular analyses
• Proven track record with publications in peer-reviewed journals
• Ability to design, implement, and drive a full research project
• Autonomy, initiative, teamwork, and communication skills
• Ability to supervise students and contribute to collective projects
• Scientific writing skills
• Ability to interact in English with international collaborators

Required Degree(s) in:
• Microbiology
• Molecular biology
